Age 4 of South Webster, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at SOMC in Portsmouth.  She was born February 24, 2011 in Columbus to Jesse and Kristin (Barnett) Ruby.  Abby attended preschool in South Webster and played Pee-Wee soccer in Minford.  She was full of life and put a smile on the face of everyone she came in contact with.  She loved playing outside and with her kittens, Tiger and Buckeye. She attended Union Freewill Baptist Church where she participated in youth activities.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Alyssa, and one brother, Asa; grandparents, Rodney and Susan Barnett of South Webster.  Also surviving are two great-uncles she adored, "GUM" Michael (Laura) Elliott of Columbus, Ohio and Dale Hamilton of Portsmouth.  She was preceded in death by grandparents James and Connie Ruby.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2016 at Bloom-Vernon Elementary School in South Webster, with Pastors Chris Oiler and Ed Cox officiating.  Interment will follow at South Webster Cemetery.  Friends may call Thursday from 5 – 9 p.m. at the school and one hour prior to the service.  Online condolences may be left at www.DWSwickNelsonFuneralHome.com.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bloom-Vernon Scholarship Legacy Fund or the Minford Falcon Legacy Scholarship.
