Alfred Cook, 74, of Wheelersburg passed away Wednesday April 29, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. He was born June 10, 1940 a son of the late Harold and Opal Lowder Cook. He was a former mechanic for the Pepsi Cola Bottling Co. and was in the Timber Business.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Gregory Cook; 3 sons, Harold Cook and Jeff Cook both of Wheelersburg and Adam Cook of South Webster; 3 daughters, Martha (Keith) Collins and Opal Tibbs both of South Webster and Patty (Jim) Robinson of Portsmouth; 2 sisters, Kay Wagner of Wheelersburg and Linda Canter of Oak Hill; 2 brothers, Howard Cook of New Boston and James Cook of Franklin Furnace; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by 3 sisters, Evelyn McIntosh, Margaret Cook and infant Marilyn Cook and 2 infant brothers, Ronald and Donald Cook.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in South Webster with interment to follow at Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 1 to 2 p.m. at D.W. Swick in South Webster. Condolences to www.dwswickfuneralhome.com.
