Alfred E. Faulkner, age 81 of Wheelersburg passed away Tuesday April 4, 2017 at SOMC Hospice Center. He was born April 22, 1935 in Scioto Furnace to the late Elmer "Dan" Faulkner and Avanelle (Smith) Faulkner. He was a 1953 graduate of South Webster High School, was retired from the former Portsmouth Receiving Hospital, and loved hunting, fishing, and working around the farm.

Alfred is survived by his wife, Joyce (Maynard) Faulkner; three sons, Danny (Marilyn) Faulkner of Pataskala, Dennis (Karen) Faulkner of Portsmouth, and Darren (Charlotte) Faulkner of Grove City; one sister, Rose Ann Firestone of Painesville; six grandchildren, Amy, Justin, Rebecca, Vanessa, Travis, Amanda; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer Faulkner.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday April 8, 2017 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in South Webster with Pastor Chris Oiler officiating.  Interment will be Scioto Furnace Cemetery.  Friends may call Friday, April 7, 2017 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to SOMC Hospice.  Online condolences may be made to www.DWSwickNelsonFuneralHome.com.
