Obituary

Anthony Gilbert Lockert, 38, of Sciotoville died Sunday, May 23, 2010, at SOMC Hospice Center. He was born Jan. 4, 1972, in Portsmouth, a son of Kenneth Earl Lockert of New Boston, and the late Betty Faye Allen. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served on the USS Samuel Gampers during Desert Storm, a member of the James Dickey Post 23, American Legion, and a graduate of Minford High School. He was a fun loving person who was liked by all who met him. He is also survived by 2 sisters; Sharon (David) Seasor of Cannonsburg, Ky, and Melissa (Charles) Swanner of Portsmouth; 4 brothers, Kenneth (Phyllis) Lockert of South Webster, Robert (Kathy) Lockert of Sciotoville, Joseph Lockert of Portsmouth, and James Lockert of South Webster; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 3:00 pm, Wed. May 26, 2010 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in South Webster with Pastor Jim Heardman officiating. Burial will be at South Webster Cemetery with military honors by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion. Visitation will be Wednesday 1-3 pm at D.W. Swick in South Webster.
