Arthur "JR" Cook, 80, of New Boston died Sunday April 19, 2009 at his residence. He was born Nov. 14, 1928 in Warnock, KY. a son of the late Arthur and Cora Bell Hicks Cook. He was a US Navy veteran. Arthur is survived by his wife, Judy Layne Cook; two brothers, Joe Cook of New Boston and Gene Cook of Oklahoma and a sister, Garnet Shumate of Zanesville. Graveside services will be 2:30 PM Friday, April 24, 2009 at Scioto Burial Park. Visitation will be 1 to 2 PM Friday at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston.
