Age 76 of Portsmouth, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. She was born in Ashland, KY on May 4, 1937 to Charles and Nettie (Brown) Montgomery. Along with her late husband, Dewitt, she owned and operated Moore's Grocery Store on Route 140. They spent a lot of time volunteering for Oddfellows and AmVet events. After his death she took the position of Director of Women's Clothing for Goody's Clothing Store. "Nana", as her grandkids would call her, was a longtime member of the Central Church of Christ, a supporter of Sierra's Haven, and loved to spend time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Moore Richter of Portsmouth, Cindy Moore Faw of Jackson; three grandchildren, Tamra Michelle Easter, Amanda Easter Gallagher, Brittany Richter Snodgrass; nine great-grandchildren; her loving companion of over 20 years, Edward J. Roy; one brother, Chauncey Montgomery of Ashland; one sister, Patricia Pollard of VA. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Malena Easter.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg.
