Age 70, of South Webster, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Ashland.  She was born August 26, 1948 in Scioto County to Marvin and Alma (Bazler) Sexton.  Barbara was a lifelong resident of the area and worked in retail as a cashier for Walmart.  In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards, trips to the casinos, and fishing.

She is survived by her mother, Alma Sexton of Wheelersburg; son, Brent (Becky) Evans of Jackson, OH; daughter, Mindy (Kim Childers) Evans of South Webster; brothers, Wayne (Larissa) Sexton of Greensboro, NC and Steven Sexton of Wheelersburg; grandchildren, Gabrielle Richards of Jackson and Courtney Evans of Cincinnati; great-grandchildren, Blake, Rylynn, and Collins.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Evans, in 2000.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in South Webster with Pastor Paul Hagen officiating.  Interment will follow at South Webster Cemetery.  Friends may call Monday from 5 – 7 p.m. and one hour prior the service on Tuesday.  Fond memories and expressions of condolence may be shared at www.DWSwickNelsonFuneralHome.com.
