Barry Grimm, 65, of New Boston died at his home Monday, Sept. 5, 2011. He was born Sept. 4, 1946 in New Boston, a son of the late James Grimm and Jean Welch. Barry was a 1965 graduate of Glenwood High School and was retired from Norfolk Southern Railway. He was a Bass Player with many area bands in the 1960's and 1970's. Barry is survived by his wife, Donna Fitch Grimm; a daughter, Michele of Tampa, FL; a son, Jimmy of Rubyville; two grandsons; Eric and Ian; his twin sister, Bonnie of Portsmouth; two brothers, Zane of Florida and Bill of New Boston; three uncles, John, Jack, and Frank Williams; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also preceded in deathy by a brother, Mickey; a sister-in-law, Tammy; and a nephew, Michael. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2011 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor George Vastine officiating. Burial will be at Siloam Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday noon to 1 p.m. at D.W. Swick in New Boston.
