Age 94, of Piketon, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Adena Hospital in Chillicothe. He was born on February 10, 1919 in Wheelwright, KY to Wilbur and Matilda (Fouts) Hall. Paul graduated from Virgie High School in Kentucky, spent several years in college, and served in the Army Airforce as part of the 101st Airborne and the 981st Engineers. He retired from the Ford Automobile Company having worked for them for over 25 years. Paul was a pastor for the Church of God and in his spare time he enjoyed locksmithing, frameworking, and gardening.
Paul is survived by one son, John David Hall of Jonancy, KY; three daughters, Phyllis (Donny) Syck of Lookout, KY, Charlotte (Danny) Draper of Elkhorn City, KY, Pattie Sowards of Virgie, KY; one brother, Henry Hall of Dean, KY; thirteen grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by one son, Paul Wilbur, and two step-daughters, Loretta Dodd and Torchie Duncon.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Military Honors will be provided by the James Dickey American Legion Post #23. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before the service.
