Bennie Blevins Sr., 88, of Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 9, 2026, at his residence, where he lived with his son Jayme and was surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on December 13, 1937, to the late Bennie and Daisy (Collins) Blevins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ida (Horner) Blevins, who passed away on December 14, 2006; and two sisters, Annie Carter and Marie Ferguson.

Bennie attended Wheelersburg Schools and retired from Dayton-Walther Corporation after many years of dedicated service. He enjoyed working on cars, carpentry projects, and spending quiet time sitting on the porch appreciating the outdoors. Above all, Bennie cherished his family. He loved spending time with them and was always ready to lend a helping hand whenever needed. He was a man of Christian faith.

Those left to honor and celebrate his life include his two sons, Tony Blevins and Bennie “Jayme” (Chase) Blevins, with Chase serving as his devoted primary caregiver; his daughter, Rhonda Kay Keaton; his sister, Beulah Stanley; three grandchildren, Dale Keaton, Tony (Nicole) Keaton, and Rhonda Keaton; and one great-grandchild, Caspian Keaton.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to SOMC Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Bennie.

Cremation Arrangements have be entrusted to D.W. Swick & Son Funeral and Cremation Services in Wheelersburg.
