Bessie Jordan, 66, of West Portsmouth died Sun., May 23, 2010 at home. She was born June 14, 1943 in Portsmouth , a daughter of the late Lester and Jessie Grimm Mills. She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Jordan of West Portsmouth and Larry Jordan of McDermott; one daughter, Robin (David) Clark of McDermott; three sisters, Wilma Jarrells and Phyllis Mills both of West Portsmouth and Jerry Chapman of Columbus; one brother, Harold Mills of West Portsmouth, 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Mike Mills. Services will be 1 PM Fri. May 28, 2010 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Lynn Wilming officiating. Burial will be at Worley's Run cemetery. Visitation will be Fri. 12 Noon to 1 PM at D.W. Swick in New Boston. The family requests donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
