Obituary

Age 79 of Sciotoville, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at SOMC in Portsmouth. She was born on December 20, 1932 in Huntington, WV to Alva and Corean (Harbour) King. A graduate of Huntington East High School, she married Russell E. Vaught on August 17, 1950. Betty was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed a good game of Bingo, and most of all loved to spend time with her family. Betty is survived by two sons, Russell A. Vaught of Sciotoville and Alfred R. (Rhonda) Vaught of Sciotoville; three grandchildren, Kara L. Vaught of Columbus, Tori L. Vaught of Sciotoville, Alex R. (Becky) Vaught of Lucasville; one great-grandchild, Makenna Grace Vaught of Lucasville; one sister, Maxine Willett of Huntington, WV; one aunt, Stacie Vogler of West Portsmouth; one sister-in-law, Helen King of Huntington, WV; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah L. Vaught; two brothers, James R. King, Jack W. King; one sister, Mabel V. Hayes. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Pastor Aaron Reed officiating. Entombment will follow at Memorial Burial Gardens in Wheelersburg.
