Betty Lou Collier, 61, of Wellston, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2011 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis. She was born December 3, 1949, in Scioto County, a daughter of the late George and Miriam Dingess Neff. Betty is survived by her husband, David McCarter of Wellston; one son, Eugene (Danielle) Collier II of Lucasville; three daughters, Carol Miller of Portsmouth, Susan Coriell and Christie Collier both of Wellston; three brothers, Frank Neff of Sciotoville, Robert Neff of New Boston and George Neff of Minford; one sister, Carolyn Lunsford of Corning; 7 grandchildren, Joshua Miller, Jacob Miller, Jonah Miller, Benjamin Coriell, Lyndsey Coriell, Harley Metcalfe, Sierra Metcalfe and her special companion, Izzy. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Gaines. Betty was a dedicated and wonderful mother and grandmother and she will be sadly missed. Services will be 11:00 am Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in South Webster with Brother Maurice Pierce officiating. Burial will be at Powell Cemetery.
