Beverly "Bev" Sue McGinnis, 70, of Columbus, Ohio went to be with her Lord on Monday, July 14th, 2025, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, surrounded by her children and many loved ones.

She was born November 29, 1954 in Portsmouth, Ohio, a daughter of the late Robert and Edith (Eller) Smith of New Boston, Ohio.

Bev spent many years employed at Nationwide Children's Hospital and was presently employed at Heinzerling Developmental Center, both located in Columbus, Ohio.

She was an avid Ohio State Football fan and beach lover. She loved anything that involved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Also special to her heart were her two kittens, Blaze and Smokie along with her dog, Dixie, who had recently passed.

Bev is survived by her two sons, Joshua "JD" (Kayla) McGinnis, Jason (Beth) McGinnis; a daughter Jessica Wheeler (Donnie), all of Minford, Ohio; a brother, Carl (Sue) Stone of Canal Winchester, Ohio; two sisters, Patty (Rick) Warren of Columbus, Ohio and Bobbi (Dave) Prater of Wheelersburg, Ohio; six grandchildren Christina, Andrew, Loren, Mason, Bryce and Emily along with one great-grandchild, Gianni.  She is also survived by a special companion, Ron Cooper, of Columbus, Ohio and many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Robin Allen and Jerry Allen, Sr. of Portsmouth, Ohio.

Funeral Services will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, Ohio, officiated by Reverend Brian Sisler. Interment to immediately follow at the Sunset Memorial Gardens located in Franklin Furnace, Ohio. Visitation will be on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home and Saturday, July 19, 2025, one hour before the Funeral Service
