Bonnie Jean Whitely, 82, of Wheelersburg, passed away Saturday January 18, 2025 at SOMC Hospice Center. She was born May 4, 1942, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Harold and Cora (Jarells) Snyder.

Bonnie was a graduate of West High School. She was a Nurse for over 34 years after having graduated from Shawnee State in the Nurses Program. Bonnie enjoyed traveling to Florida to see family, as well as attending family reunions and attending all the kid's sporting events.

Bonnie is survived by two sons; Buck Whitely of Wheelersburg and Rick Whitely of W. Palm Beach, FL, a daughter; Robyn (Walt) Chenault of Kentucky, five sisters; Ruby Johnson, Ruth Ann Jenkins, Marlene Montgomery, Donna Conley and Charlotte Dapice, along with 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Whitely on March 02, 1999.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Wait's Baptist Church with Pastor Brent Saxton officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday at the church. Services are under the direction of the D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME (Wolfe-Nelson Chapel) in Sciotoville.
