Brenda Lou Etterling, 61 of Wheelersburg, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. She was born Jan. 26, 1954 in Portsmouth, the daughter of the late Eugene Carl Stanley and Beulah Mae Blevins Stanley, who survives. Brenda was a former member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Wheelersburg and was a Home Health Care provider for many years with Advantage Home Health Care.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Richard B. Etterling, whom she married in October of 1983 in West Portsmouth; two sons, Danny Vansickle of Ashland, KY and Joseph R. Etterling of Sciotoville; two daughters, Christina Vansickle of South Shore, KY and Karen Horn of Huntington, WV; one brother, Dale E. Stanley of Wheelersburg; and 8 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Swick-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastors Clarence "Buddy" Baker and Blaine Etterling officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
