Age 81 of Portsmouth, died Friday, October 11, 2013 at SOMC in Portsmouth. He was born May 6, 1932 in Minneapolis, MN to Imel and Mabel (Brintnall) Laack. He served in the United States Army for two years in the military police. Carl owned Colonial Florist on Ohio River Road in Portsmouth since 1969. He had a passion for flower arranging and design. He also loved his cats and taking care of his Koi ponds.
He is survived by one son Kevin Laack of Greenup; two grandchildren, James Laack and Sarah Laack; two brothers, LeRoy and Leland Laack, both of Salem OR; one sister, LaVonne Dunlap of Salem, OR; special friend, Lana Lore of Portsmouth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn June and one son, Richard.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. WOLFE-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Sciotoville is handling the arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to
