Carol Ann Cyrus, 85, of Portsmouth passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Portsmouth Health and Rehab.  She was born in Sciotoville on May 14, 1936 to the late Arnold Edward and Sarah Marie (Owens) Walburn.  Carol worked for many years in food service at Catholic Community Services. She was of the Baptist faith and attended a Nazarene Church in Juneau Alaska.  Carol loved to sew, work in her garden, doing crafts and reading. She also loved to write stories and poetry.

Carol is survived by a son, Timothy Liles and wife Sharon of Lucasville; two daughters, Marsha Hale of West Virginia and Pam Adkins and husband Mike of Sciotoville; twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews and many friends.  She was also preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Cyrus; two brothers, Charles Walburn and Arnold Walburn.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 Friday, May 13, 2022 at Scioto Burial Park in McDermott under the direction of D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME (WOLFE - NELSON CHAPEL) in Sciotoville. A celebration of life memorial will be held directly after funeral. condolences may be left at DWSwickFuneralHome.com.
