Carol Ann Ratliff, 65, of Portsmouth died Fri. May 15, 2009 at SOMC Hospice Center. She was born Feb. 11, 1944 in Marion, a daughter of Mary Truitt Snyder and the late Edward Snyder. She was a homemaker and formerly attended Freewill Church of God on 5Th St. She is survived by a son, Ernest Ratliff of Portsmouth; two daughters, Melody Steele and Mary Jane Bowling both of Portsmouth; two brothers, Tony Snyder and Gary Snyder both of Marion; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Ratliff, a sister, Betty Pierce and a brother, Butch Snyder. Services will be 2 PM Mon. May 18, 2009 at D.W.
