Age 80 of Kettering, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017.  She was born in Oak Hill on November 24, 1936 to David and Nellie (Dunn) Bates.  She was a member of United Methodist Church in Kettering and sang in nine church choirs in the Ohio West Conference.  She was co-chair of the National Masonic Order of Campers.  Carolyn loved her children, grandchildren, and enjoyed camping with them.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Fenton; son, Mark (Pauline) Fenton of Dayton; daughters, Lynn Harrington of Washington Township, Cindy (Tom) Seats of Kettering, Leah Collins of Centerville; brother, Gary Bates of Kettering; sister, Sherry (Denny) Blazer of Cincinnati; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at South Webster United Methodist Church with Pastors Don Meadows and Jeff Queen officiating.  Interment will follow at South Webster Cemetery.  Friends may call Friday from 5 – 8 p.m. at D.W.
