Catherine Ann (Houston) Smith, born February 10, 1962, went to be with the Lord July 5, 2012 at Hospice of Portsmouth. She was proceeded in death by her first husband, Mitchell Bud Houston, Everette Senior and Margaret Cook, a daughter Margaret Houston, Leslie Cook, Albert Cook, James Cook and Geneva Cook. She is survived by her husband Benjamin Smith of New Boston, a daughter Mindy (Michelle) Cook of Portsmouth, two step children, Emily and Michael Smith of Chillicothe; three grand children, Eli Cook and Keara Davis, both of Portsmouth, and Jayden Smith of Chillicothe; three brothers, Rick (Linnie) Cook of South Webster, Everette (Sandra)Cook Jr. of New Boston, and Everette William (Carla) Cook of Portsmouth; three sisters, Grace (Jerry) Stamper of Franklin Furnace, Loretta Sue Hubbard of New Boston, and Ada (Larry) White of Waterloo, OH. and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and Nancy Cook of New Boston. She will be sadly missed and never forgotten. Thanks to all the special friends, doctors and nurses from S.O.M.C. and Hospice of Portsmouth. Services will be 2 PM Monday, July 9, 2012 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in South Webster. Interment will be at Scioto Furnace cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 6 to 8 PM and Monday 1 to 2 PM at D.W. Swick in South Webster.
