Cecil C. McCormick, 82, of Wheelersburg, passed away Thursday March 13, 2025 at SOMC Hospice Center. He was born October 24,1942 in Minford, a son of the late Cecil and Helen (Knapp) McCormick.

He was a former mechanic with Norfolk and Southern Railroad. He attended High Praises Church and was a good Christian Man who loved his church. He also enjoyed fishing and going four wheeling anytime he could.

Cecil is survived by his wife, Laura (Lewis) McCormick; two sons, Buddy McDaniel and wife Jamie of Wheelersburg and Mike McDaniel and wife Karen of Bucyrus; four daughters, Barbara Spriggs of VA, Brenda McAfee of Kansas, Patricia McCormick of KY and Katrina McClurg of OH; 25 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren along with a sister-in-law Regina Brown.

He was also preceded in death by two sons, Joseph McCormick and John McDaniel; a daughter Pamela Brickman and a sister Mary Kallner.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday March 15, 2025 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg with Pastors Dean Thompson and Wilma Erwin officiating. Visitation will be 1 to 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Private interment will be held at a later date.
