Challas Tackett, 81 of Eden Park died Sunday July 29, 2012 at his residence. He was born August 13, 1930 in Portsmouth a son of the late Elzie and Alta Reed Tackett. He was a former employee of Empire Detroit Steel Corp. He is survived by a son, Challas Dean Tackett and wife Beth; grandchildren, Challas Dean Tackett II and wife Lindsay, Chad Douglas Tackett, Sarah Elizabeth Tackett, Cody Duncan Tackett and William Matthew Piquet and wife Brook; great grandchildren, Caleb Daniel Tackett, Harper Piquet and Hunter Piquet. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Tackett and a daughter, Denise Piquet. There will be a cremation with no visitation.
