Age 59, passed away at his home in Portsmouth on Saturday, May 23, 2015. Charles was born on November 23, 1955 in Portsmouth to Lawrence and Phyllis (Morris) Blair. He worked in construction for many years and spent a lot of time working on cars. Charles loved his dog "Lady", enjoyed fishing, and was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his father, Lawrence Blair of Wheelersburg; daughter, Christy Evans of Oak Hill; son, Erik Blair (girlfriend Gracie) of Portsmouth; brother, Kermit Bates (Vicky) of Wheelersburg; three sisters, Roberta Allgood (Roger) of Wheelersburg, Rowena Ferrell of Wheelersburg, Pamela McCleese (Teddy) of Wheelersburg; four grandchildren, Kourtnea Blackburn, Jacob Evans, Brooklynn Evans, Sierra Blair; one great-grandchild, Braylee Sowards; ex-wife and special friend, Rose Blair. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis, and brother, Curtis Blair.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Pastor Ralph Shaffer officiating. Interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery in Wheelersburg. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.
