Charles Gill, 64, of Portsmouth, died, Thursday, October 1, 2009 at SOMC. He was born in Portsmouth on January 19, 1945, a son of the late Berdie and Helen Murphy Gill. Charles is survived by 4 sons, John Gill, Larry Gill, Charles Gill and Jimmy Peano; 1 daughter, Angela Peano; 4 sisters, Norma Cooley, Zola Mae Blankenship, Betty McKee, and Linnie Cooke and 10 grandchildren. Charles was proceeded in death by his wife, Linda Gill, 3 brothers; Bobby Gill, Kenneth Gill, and Larry Gill; and 3 sisters, Mary Lou Stinson,and Barbara Piatt and Alberta Gill. Graveside services will be 3 PM Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009 at Mt. Zion Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 PM Tues.at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston.
