Age 70, of Sciotoville, passed away at his home on Saturday, January 25, 2014. He was born on February 21, 1943 in Greenup, KY to Randolph C. and Sarah Jean (Long) Waddell. Charles was a heavy equipment operator by trade and a member of the Ohio Operating Engineers, Local 18. He enjoyed hunting, salmon and deep-sea fishing, and was an enthusiastic supporter of the East High School Tartans.

Charles is survived by his wife, Edith "Kay" (Curtis) Waddell; one daughter, Victoria Lynn (special friend Gary Stiles) Waddell of Sciotoville; two sons, Timothy Lee (Camilla) Waddell of Diana, TX, Randolph Dennis (Bonnie) Waddell of Wheelersburg; four brothers, Oshie Thomas (Margaret) Waddell of Warsaw, IN, James "Craig" (Debbie) Waddell of White Oak, TX, Barry Joe Waddell, Terry Allen (Emma) Waddell of Franklin Furnace; five grandchildren, David Wesley (Nancy) Caudill, Jordan Mikka Waddell, Brittany Rochelle (fiancé Derek Johnson) Caudill, Timothy Charles Waddell, Tyler Scott (Stormi) Waddell; five great-grandchildren, Lochlan, Bradley, Dalton, Wyatt, Elijah. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Pastor Roy Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour before the service on Wednesday.
