Clarence (Casey) Grubb, 87, of Portsmouth died Sat., March 7, 2009 at Golden Years Convalescent Center. He was born Sept. 5, 1921 in Wurtland,KY a son of the late George and Lorie England Grubb. He was a U.S. Army veteran, retired from CSX Railroad , was a Kentucky Colonial and attended Cedar Street Church of Christ in Christian Union. He is survived by his wife, Hazel (Jo) Biars Grubb; three sons, Randy Grubb, Glenn Grubb and wife Melonie and Kern Grubb all of Greenup Co., KY.; two stepsons, Richard Hoover and wife Debbie of South Webster and Harold Hoover of Portsmouth; three daughters, Donita Perry and husband Frank, Wilma Skaggs and husband Gary and Diane Sheffield all of Greenup Co., KY.; two stepdaughters, Nicole Lynn Cantrell and husband Harold of Portsmouth and Darla Jo Weekly and husband Kenny of Blue Creek; one brother, Leslie Grubb and a sister, Nellie Stringer both of Greenup, KY.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ed and Cecil Grubb. Services will be 11 AM Tues. March 10, 2009 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor Gary Heimbach officiating. Burial will be at Universal cemetery with military graveside rites by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion. Visitation will be 10 to 11 AM Tues. at D.W. Swick in New Boston.
