Clyde E. Cartwright, jr. 91 of New Boston, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Best Care Nursing and Rehab Center in Wheelersburg. He was born on September 20, 1925 in Portsmouth, the son of the late Clyde Earl and Gladys Marie Arms Cartwright, sr. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Edward Cartwright; one sister, Helen Semones and one brother-in-law, Charles Gregory. Clyde was a retired clerk from the Detroit Steel Company, where he had worked in payroll for 44 years and had attended Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in New Boston. He spent his retirement with his family that he loved.

Clyde is survived by one sister, Shelby Gregory of Wheelersburg and 16 nieces and nephews.

No service will be held, it was Clyde's wishes to donate his body to the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. Condolences may be sent to Clyde's family at www.swickbussachamberlin.com
