Danny P. Keeton, 79, of Portsmouth, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at SOMC Hospice surrounded by the love of family and friends. Born on April 16, 1947, in Portsmouth, Danny was the beloved son of the late Walter and Gladys (Underwood) Keeton.

A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Danny served his country honorably before dedicating many years of his life to working in maintenance at Good Shepherd Manor. He truly enjoyed his work and took pride in helping others through his kindness, dependability, and strong work ethic. Danny had a lifelong passion for working on cars and could often be found tinkering in the garage, always ready to lend a helping hand or share his knowledge. More than anything, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends. Whether gathered for holidays, simple visits, or everyday moments, Danny’s greatest joy came from being surrounded by the people he loved.

He leaves behind many who will deeply miss him, including his longtime companion, Darlene Locke; his sons, Danny Keeton Jr., Doug Keeton, and Rob Keeton; his daughters, Kelly Duduit and Jess Burton; brother, Dave (Patty) Keeton; several beloved grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends whose lives were touched by his warmth and generosity.

Danny will be remembered for his caring heart, quiet strength, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely.
