David R. Canter, 72, of Wheelersburg passed away Tuesday Dec.9, 2014 at Heartland of Portsmouth. He was born January 11, 1942 in Minford a son of the late Raymond and Charlotte Spriggs Canter. David worked in the Minford School District for many years where he was a Guidance Counselor and earned his Masters Degree from Xavier University. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Jenkins Canter; two sons, Christopher Trent Canter and wife Tina of Wheelersburg, Chad Tyson Canter and wife Ellisha of Franklin Furnace and a daughter, Casey Tanya Lewis and husband Scott of Greenup, KY. Five grandchildren, Warren Lewis, Tori Canter, Bryson Canter, Dru Canter and Brady Canter. Private services will be at the convenience of the family at the D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN SOUTH WEBSTER.
