David Eugene Cummings, 71, of Lucasville, passed away Monday May 19, 2025 at SOMC Hospice Center. He was born July 26, 1953 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Lloyd and Lillie (Flake) Cummings.

He was a devoted Christian and a Army Veteran. He enjoyed collecting antiques, being out in the nature and just walking in the woods. He loved his children very much.

David is survived by a son, Josuha Cummings Sr.; a daughter, Sara Cummings; two brothers, Lloyd (Debbie) Cummings and Paul Cummings, 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Amber Dawn Cummings; brothers, Willard (Joyce) Cummings, Jerry (Candy) Cummings, Terry  Cummings and Michael Cummings; sisters, Olive Veach, Lorrainne (John) Stonerock, Leona Snyder, Nora Riggs and Betty Coldiron.

Cremation Services were entrusted to the D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME (Wolfe-Nelson Chapel) in Sciotoville.
