Age 65 of Oak Hill passed away Monday July 4, 2016 at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. She was born June 19, 1951 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Lee and Jane Ferrell Hightower. Delores was a 1969 graduate of South Webster High School. She loved flowers, birds, and most of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Jack Stewart of Oak Hill; a daughter, Kelly Stewart (Dean Haywood), of Wheelersburg; a special granddaughter whom she loved as a daughter, Brooklyn Crabtree; and great-granddaughters Caidence and Paisley of South Webster; fiancé Monty Leonard of Oak Hill;  brothers and sisters, Charles (Linda) Hightower of Dayton, Dave (Libby) Hightower of Harlan, KY, Vera Roof of Sciotoville, Phyllis Lockert of South Webster, Garry (Mary) Hightower of Portsmouth, Terry (Dee) Hightower of South Webster, Virgil (Tammy) Hightower of Wheelersburg, Patty Hightower of Jackson, and Jim Noe of Barbourville, KY.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers Larry Hightower, Doug Hightower, Eric Hightower, sisters Linda Barfield and Freida Noe, and several other extended family members.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday July 8, 2016 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in South Webster with Pastor Randy Schintzius officiating.
