Dennis Lee Allard, 57, of Minford died on May 9, 2011 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. He was born on July 2, 1953 in Portsmouth to Merrill and Mildred (Osmeyer) Allard. He was a 1971 graduate of Minford High and worked for over 30 years as a materials handler for Kenworth truck manufacturer. Dennis loved his cameras, all kinds of photography, and spending time with his family. He most especially enjoyed his grandbabies' birthday parties. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Allard. He is survived by his brother, Loren Allard of Minford; one sister, Donna Lou Brown of Boise City, OK; four daughters, Michele Bihl (Jeb) of Haverhill, OH, Adina Frye (Davey) of York, SC, Trista Bryant (Jason) of South Shore, KY, and Janele Ridout (Jeremy) of Minford; six grandchildren, Derrick Stringer, Darienne Allard, Jason Bryant, Jaekyn Ridout, Ava Bihl, Jaysa Bryant. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace.
