Dennis Ward Gaines, 47, of Portsmouth, died, Wed., November 2, 2011 as a result of a motorcycle accident. He was born July 26, 1964, in Portsmouth, a son of the late David and Linda Newsome Gaines. Dennis is survived by two sisters, Mary (Ron) Hoover and Cheryl Gaines, both of Portsmouth; 3 brothers, Paul Gaines of Portsmouth, Carlton Gaines of Wheelersburg, Harrison Gaines of Portsmouth; special friends, Georgann Keeton and Hayley Hildinger both of Lancaster; several nieces and nephews; and many friends and relatives. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Joseph and Timothy Gaines. Services will be 7 pm Monday, Nov. 7, 2011 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor Karen Gaines, CLP officiating.
