Denver C. Ferguson, 84, of New Boston, died, Wed. Dec. 14, 2011 at Best Care Nursing Home. He was born July 26, 1927, a son of the late William Ferguson and Ruth Westfall Ferguson Grizzle. He was a Construction Foreman and veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict. Denver's favorite pass time was waving to passing motorists from his front porch on Gallia Street. He is survived by a daughter, Pam (Peter) Cardinal of St. Petersburg, FL; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Denver was also preceded in death by his wife, Violet Ferguson; and two infant siblings. The family would like to thank the community for all of the love and support you have shown Denver over the last several years. Services will be 1:00pm, Monday, Dec. 19, 2011 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor Gary Heimbach officiating. Burial will be at Long Run Cemetery with graveside military honors by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion.
