Age 72 of Portsmouth, passed away Sunday September 4, 2016 at Southern Ohio Medical Center after a long illness. She was born November 4, 1943 in Greenup County, KY, a daughter of the late Edward Ward and Sylvia (Hardin) Ward. She was a member of North Moreland Christian Baptist Church and loved to read, work puzzle books, and spend time with her grandchildren.

Dianna was a mother to eight children including Paul Henderson Jr., Randall (Debbie) Henderson, Roger (Lisa) Henderson, Jeffrey Henderson, and Anna Henderson Harris, all of Portsmouth; three brothers, Robert Lee Ward and Melvin Edward Ward, both of Vanceburg, KY, and George Winford Ward of Portsmouth; one sister, Patricia Collier of Portsmouth; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Paul Henderson, Sr., who died on February 15, 2005; three children, Sylvia Margaret, Larry Edward, and Juanita Mae; two brothers, Michael Ray, Thomas Dwayne; and a sister, Sarah Louise.

Services will be 1:00 p.m Thursday September 8, 2016 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Paul Hagen officiating. Interment will follow at Qualls Cemetery.
