Age 61, of Portsmouth, passed away Monday, September 16, 2019 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. He was born February 4, 1958 in Ironton to Raymond and Eula (Burks) Wise. Donald worked for 8 years as an EMT for Portsmouth and Life Ambulance. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting knives, baseball cards, and die-cast NASCAR models. He was a longtime member of the Apostolic Gospel Church of Portsmouth.

Donald is survived by his wife, Donna (Sullivan) Wise; mother, Eula Wise of Springfield; daughter, Samantha Kay (John) Ruggles of Portsmouth; sons, D.J. Wise, II of Portsmouth, Corey (Bethany) Wise of Sciotoville; grandchildren, Alex Blankenship (fiancée Erika Holdren), Austin Blankenship, Ethan Blankenship, Trevor Ruggles, Haleigh Ruggles, Chloe Paige Wise; brothers, Ray (Shirley) Wise of Lebanon, OH, Mike Wise of Columbus, Brian Wise of Columbus; many special cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Wise.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2019 at WOLFE-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Sciotoville with Pastor Robert Coffey, III officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
