Donna Carol Ashley, 74 of Wheelersburg, died Sunday, August 2, 2015 at her residence. She was born on November 27, 1940 in Portsmouth, the daughter of the late Randall Schuler and Carol Brushart Schuler Benner. Donna was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Paul H. Benner. She was a member of the Sciotodale Free Will Baptist Church.

Donna is survived by her husband of 54 years, Donald L. Ashley whom she married on July 12, 1961 in Slocum; 4 sons, Larry Ashley of Wheelersburg, Roger (Karen) Ashley of Elizabethtown, KY, Donald R. (Pam) Ashley of Wheelersburg and Bruce Ashley of Lancaster; one daughter, Ginnie (Tony) Lyons of Wheelersburg; 8 grandchildren, (SFC) Larry Ashley, Jr., Joseph Ashley, Michelle LaSalle, Marsha Ashley, Katrina Tabor, Tyler Ashley and (A1C) Nicholas Wise; 11 great grandchildren and two brothers, Randall "Nappy" (Irene) Schuler of Shreveport, La. and Ted (Patty) Schuler of Chillicothe.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Swick-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastors Aaron Reed and Dan Widdig officiating. Interment will be in Vernon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
