Doris Hammonds, 86, of Wheelersburg, passed away Monday March 20, 2023. She was born December 29, 1936 in Minford, a daughter of the late Harry and Sophia (Lands) Williams.

She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved living on the farm, raising cattle, mowing the grass, fishing, cooking and baking for her family.

Doris is survived by a son, Mark Hammonds and wife Genevra of Wilmington; daughter, Jodi Hanes and husband Dirk of Wheelersburg; grandchildren, Katie Hanes, Taylor (Chase) Messer, Colbie (Ashton) Miller, Jacob (Brooke) Hammonds, Zachary (Calista) Hammonds and Joe Hammonds. great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Tucker, Charlie, Ashlyn, Daxton and one on the way.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Hammonds, a son, Jeffrey G. Hammonds, a brother, Harry Williams; sisters, Dorothy Benson, Irene Coldiron, Norma Flannery and Jean Daniels.

Graveside Services and interment will be 1:00 PM Thursday March 23, 2023 at South Webster Cemetery with Pastor Zack Conkel officiating.
