Doris (McFarland) Kelley, 88 of Portsmouth went home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ on October 5, 2022. She was born June 9, 1934 in Williamson, WV a daughter of the late Glen and Bessie (Robinson) McFarland.

She was an excellent wife and great mother, was a teacher and had taught at Portsmouth City Schools, Happy Hearts and retired from Wheelersburg Elementary School. Doris was a great Christian Lady and taught Woman's Bible Study. She very much enjoyed the 20 years her and her husband spent in Florida before moving back home to be with her children and grandchildren.

Doris is survived by two sons, Jim Kelley and wife Angie of Wheelersburg,  Stephen Kelley and wife Michelle of Collierville, TN; grandchildren, Lauren (Seth) Stewart, James Kelley, Brittany (Justin) Collins, Stephen Kelley, Matthew Davis and Alex Davis.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, James Roy Kelley, three brothers, Earl, Burt and Doug McFarland.

Cremation services were under the care of the D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN WHEELERSBURG.
