Doris Nickells, 75, formely of Lucasville, died, Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at the Kobacker House in Columbus. She was born May 11, 1937, in Carter County, Ky, a daughter of the late Willard and Carrie Hartley Burton. Doris is survived by a son, Keith Nickells of Minford; a brother, James Burton of Minford; two sisters, Maxine Howell and Dorothy Horne both of Columbus; and four grandchildren, Leita Jo Biass, Nathan, Trenton, and Hailey Davidson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Nickells; and a daughter, Karen Davidson. Services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, Aug. 17, 2012 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor Junior Wiley officiating. Burial will be at Lucasville Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM and from 10-11 AM on Friday at D.W.
