Obituary

Heaven's kitchen has a new cook! Dorothy Louise Wente, known to her friends as Dottie, started her new position on January 31, 2018. Dottie's previous experience was cooking for beloved family and friends and her kitchen was her favorite room. Heaven is feasting on some of our favorites including French Toast, potato salad, butterscotch cookies, Irish Cream Cake, biscuits and gravy, chicken and dumplings, zucchini bread, chicken enchiladas, Red Velvet Cake, homemade bread, potato candy, and apple dumplings, to name a few.

She was born January 13, 1932 to Elizabeth (Winters) and Charles Frazier in Dayton, Ohio. Dottie started working at a very young age and didn't stop until recently. She worked several jobs and retired from K-Mart after many years. She and her husband, Clarence, were owners of Granny's Attic. She was a longtime member of Franklin Furnace Independent Baptist Church and was known there as "Granny." She loved her church family and after entering a nursing home she loved it when the youth came to visit and sing to her.

Dottie raised her children and helped care for many others, all of whom loved her dearly.

She is survived by her sons, Gary Enyart of Richmond, VA, Keith (Cindy) Enyart of Milton, FL; daughters, Truda (Harold) Bobst of Lucasville, Anita (Stan) Brewer of Portsmouth, Dru (Mark) Chandler of Kingston, Becky Jo (Harold) Kemplen of Charlotte, NC; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; a niece whom she helped raise, Roberta (Elbert) Worthington; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, three brothers, Charles, Bob, and Ronnie Frazier, and two nieces.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2018 at WOLFE-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Sciotoville with Pastor Dennis Hankins officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call from 12 – 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared at www.WolfeNelsonFuneralHome.com.
