Dorothy Jeane Skeens, 76 of South Webster died Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis. She was born January 26, 1933 in South Webster, a daughter of the late O.R. and Clara Pollock Murphy. She was a 1950 graduate of South Webster High School, a graduate of Ohio University and was a retired teacher at Wheelersburg High School with 35 years service and was a member of the retired Teachers Association. She is survived by her husband, R.W. Skeens; a son, David Skeens and wife Tammy of Scioto Furnace and a daughter, Renee Goins and husband Conley of Duhring, W.VA.; three grandchildren, Amanda Goins, Brennan Skeens and Tate Skeens. Graveside services will be 3:00 PM Monday, May 4, 2009 at South Webster cemetery with Pastor Merit Smith officiating. Visitation will be Sunday 5 to 7 PM at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in South Webster.
