age 71 of John's Creek, Van Lear, Kentucky formerly of Sciotoville, died Thursday, December 17, 2009. He was born July 24, 1938 in Morgan County, KY, to the late Autie and Lula Patrick Day. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Roy Bryant and Harold Bokma. He is survived by his wife Nellie Garrett Day; one daughter, Rebecca (Richie) Litton of Paintsville; two brothers, Garland (Betty) Day of Wheelersburg and Bill (Betty) Day of Inez KY; two sisters, Lois Bryant of Columbus and Garnet Bokma of Dayton; one granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Molina; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2009 at the Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call Sunday from 4 - 7 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. There will also be a visitation Friday December 18, 2009 from 6 - 9 p.m. at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home in Paintsville, KY. Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville is handling the arrangements.
