Obituary

Edward Theodore Wagner, 84, of Portsmouth, died Friday, August 22, 2014 at Heartland of Portsmouth. Ted was born April 30, 1930 in Lucasville, the son of the late Walter and Carrie McNamara Wagner. He was the former owner/operator of the Union 76 Station in Lucasville and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Ted was also preceded in death by his wife, Phoebe Hilda Wagner; stepdaughter, Barbara Bishop; stepson, Randy Musick; sister, Doris Beasley; and a brother, Jimmy Wagner.

Ted is survived by 2 stepdaughters, Susan Thompson of Portsmouth and Cheryl Artis of Lucasville; 2 stepsons, James Musick of Portsmouth and Arthur Musick of Indiana; 3 brothers, Bill and Richard Wagner both of Lucasville and Steve Wagner of Ravenna, OH; 4 sisters, Helen Murray of Mt. Vernon, OH, Linda Ramey of Waverly, Barbara Brush of Rosemount, and Margie Williams of CO; 11 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Scioto Burial Park with Sam Cummings officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. Graveside military rites will be given by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Arrangements are under the direction of the Swick-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.swickbusschamberlin.com .
