Age 96 of Wheelersburg, passed away April 13, 2016 at Best Care in Wheelersburg. She was born December 1, 1919 in Rarden to Charles Franklin and Ella May (Hoffer) Moore. In addition to being a homemaker, she was a wonderful seamstress.

Elsie is survived by one sister, Minnie Abdon (Leroy) of Portsmouth; niece Jill Hayslip (Keith) who Elsie considered to be a daughter; many nieces and nephews, including Jane Arnett (Pat) of Wheelersburg, Margaret Waddell (Tom) of IN, Everett Carpenter (Jackie) of Portsmouth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ernest, Charles, and Floyd Moore; two half-brothers, Willie and Arthur Moore; three half-sisters, Mary Eisnaugle, Pearl Moore, Eva Martin. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of Best Care for all the years of wonderful care they gave to Elsie.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2016 at WOLFE-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Sciotoville with Pastor Mike Simpson officiating. Interment will follow in Scioto Burial Park.
