Elton N. Messer, 72, of Wheelersburg died Sunday Jan. 25, 2015 at SOMC Hospice Center. He was born May 1, 1942 in Greenup, KY. a son of the late Faro and Dora Skaggs Messer.

He is survived by a son, Tony (Michele) Messer of Wheelersburg; three daughters, Veronda (Bruce) Hardy of Crestline, OH., Valerie (James ) Bowling of South Shore, KY. and Shanna Bowling of Bucyrus; 3 sisters, Verla Hughey of Minford, Janet Phipps and Barb Messer both of New Boston; 2 brothers, Homer Messer, Chuck Messer; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1:45 PM Tuesday Jan. 27, 2015 at Vernon cemetery with Peter Michael officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12 to 1 PM at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN SOUTH WEBSTER. Condolences to www.dwswickfuneralhome.com.
