Esther McAlister,76 of Sciotoville, passed away in Pascagoula, MS while visiting her daughter. Esther was born February 24,1940 to the late Esther (Nelson) and Clyde Armes She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard G. McAlister and two brothers Robert and William Armes.

Esther is survived by four children, Dana Demons and Richard McAlister of Sciotoville, Kim Alda of Moss Point, MS, and John McAlister of Columbus, two sisters, Birdie Atkins of Columbus and Sandy Kelly of West Portsmouth; eleven grandchildren, Joshua, Sterling, Cassidy, Xandra, Travis, Matthew, Kristin, Madison, Micah, Leah and Cameron; eight great grand children and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the Swick-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, with grandchild, Micah McAlister officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call form 5 until 8 p.m. on Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
