Age 80, of Wheelersburg, passed away on July 17, 2014 at his home. He was born on October 28, 1933 in Portsmouth to Stanley and Pauline Bragdon and was a painter by trade. Gene enjoyed flea markets and loved viewing and working on old cars. He was an Army Veteran and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lucasville.

He is survived by one daughter, Debbie (Orville) Ramey of Lucasville; three grandchildren, Gina Dyer of Lucasville, Scott Altman (Marinda) of Piketon, Nicholas Altman of Lucasville; two great-grandchildren, Alexis Altman of Portsmouth, Landin Altman of Piketon; special friend, Ricca Felty of Greenup, KY. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice, and one sister, Frances Munson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville. Interment will follow in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Military honors will be provided by American Legion James Dickey Post #23. Friends may call one hour before the service at the funeral home.
