Age 83, of West Portsmouth, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013 at SOMC Hospice. She was born in New Boston on October 25, 1930 to Emory and Dorothy (Branham) Backus. She liked to bake and more than anything loved to spend time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Amel "Buck" Traylor; one son, Larry Traylor of West Portsmouth; two daughters, Pam Williams of West Portsmouth, Lori Biller (Trent) of Milford; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Claire, in infancy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Reverend Jack Lore officiating. Interment will follow in Scioto Burial Park.
